WINNIPEG — The city’s Sunday and holiday bicycle routes are back this weekend.

From May 22 until October 10, vehicle traffic is restricted to a distance of not more than one block from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every Sunday and on some holidays. People face a fine for breaking that law.

There are four streets designated as Sunday bicycle routes. These include:

  • Lyndale Drive – Cromwell Street to Gauvin Street
  • Scotia Street – Anderson Avenue (at St. Cross Street) to Armstrong Avenue
  • Wellington Crescent – Academy Road (at Wellington Crescent) to Guelph Street
  • Wolseley Avenue – Raglan Road to Maryland Street

Barricades will also be placed at the beginning and end of the routes to remind drivers and a sign will let you know when you are leaving the area.
