A 28-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a man’s death last week.
Malory Lajimodiere has also been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose in 61-year-old Louie De Sousa Sa’s death.
De Sousa Sa was found dead in an apartment suite in the area of 82 Street and 123 Avenue on Thursday, May 19. Police said he died from trauma to his upper body.

Police said De Sousa Sa and Lajimodiere knew each other and lived in the same residence. The relationship between the pair is not known.
Police are not looking for any other suspects.
De Sousa Sa’s death is Edmonton’s 22nd homicide of 2016.
