Internet Black Widow to appear in court Tuesday for conditions breach

Melissa Ann Shepard, the woman known as the “Internet Black Widow” will be back before a judge this week, accused of breaching the conditions of her peace bond.

A Halifax Regional Police officer recognized Shepard at the Halifax Central Library on April 11, attempting to access the internet, something she is prohibited from doing under the conditions of her release.

Shepard served more than two years in prison for spiking her new husband’s coffee with tranquilizers.

The 80-year-old woman became known as the “Internet Black Widow” because of her history of killing and poisoning men who are her intimate partners.

She will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Tuesday.
