Winnipeg Goldeyes add one player, trade another

WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Goldeyes made a pair of moves on Wednesday prior to concluding their three-game series against the Laredo Lemurs.

The Goldeyes signed left-handed pitcher Eric Eadington and traded righty Dylan Rheault to the Sioux City Explorers for future considerations.

Eadington, 28, made one start earlier this season for the Gary Southshore Railcats. He allowed one earned run in two innings of work on May 20 against the St. Paul Saints.

After a four-year career at Harvard University, Eadington played five seasons in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization reaching the Double-A level.

Rheault made just one appearance for the Goldeyes this season.

The Goldeyes have four games remaining on their season opening 10-game road trip before returning home for Monday’s home opener.
