Winnipeg Blue Bombers make pair of moves

WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers released one player and signed another on Saturday as training camp continued.

The Bombers announced they’ve signed international receiver LaVon Brazill and released defensive end Justin Cole.

Brazill, 27, appeared in 25 games over the 2012 and 2013 seasons with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts. He recorded 23 receptions for 347 yards with three touchdowns. The Colts selected Brazill in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He also spent some time with the Toronto Argonauts during the 2014 season.

Cole was cut after he suffered a lower-body injury. He first joined the club in 2015 and appeared in five games where he made three defensive tackles and two quarterback sacks.
