WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have released six players to meet the CFL‘s first roster deadline of training camp.

Gone are defensive backs Johnny Patrick and Donal Celiscar, defensive linemen Andrew Robinson and Nate Collins, offensive lineman Aundrey Walker and receiver Kevin Cone. All six players are American.

The Bombers also placed lineman Jeff Keeping, receiver Addison Richards and linebacker Kyle Knox on the six-game injured list.

Teams had to reduce their rosters to 65 players excluding non-counters by late last night. That number has to drop to 46 active players by June 18.

The Bombers kick off the regular season at home against the Montreal Alouettes on June 24.
