Fan finds Lightning’s NHL draft strategy in hotel lobby, posts to Twitter

As the NHL draft approaches, teams are clamouring for tips and strategies that might give them an edge to help their team.

It looks like the Tampa Bay Lightning just made that a little easier for the other 29 organizations.

On Thursday afternoon, just hours before the first pick was to be called in Buffalo, New York, a hockey fan stumbled across what appears to be the Tampa Bay Lightning’s draft strategy and player values lying around in a hotel lobby.

He then posted the alleged treasure trove of information on Twitter.

The Lightning contacted the individual requesting he take down the posts. The Buffalo Sabres fan said he would with one condition: that the Sabres sign upcoming free agent and current Lightning Steven Stamkos.
