Police say a man was assaulted with a baseball bat where a fight broke out in Saskatoon on Saturday.

At around 3:30 a.m. CT, officers were called to an altercation between two groups of men in the 1500-block of 22nd Street West.

One man was struck in the head with a baseball bat.

Police said he suffered non-life threatening injuries but required medical attention. MD Ambulance took him to Royal University Hospital.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The altercation is still under investigation.
