WINNIPEG — Winnipeg police have made a second arrest in connection to the homicide on Portage Avenue earlier this month.
Cyril Weenusk, 26, died after a violent altercation with a group of people near Portage Avenue and Donald Street July 5.

On Tuesday morning, police said Renelle McDougal, 20, from Winnipeg, was charged with second-degree murder in connection to Weenusk’s death.
This comes more than two weeks after police made an initial arrest in the homicide.

On July 16, Geordie Douglas Wood, 22, of St. Theresa Point, Man., was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
Both suspects remain in custody.
