Rio 2016: Canadians Daniel Nestor and Vasek Pospisil lose bronze medal tennis match

Daniel Nestor and Vasek Pospisil have been eliminated from the Rio Olympics men’s tennis doubles competition.

The pair lost to Americans Steve Johnson and Jack Sock in straight sets Friday evening. The U.S. pair takes home the bronze.

The Americans won the first set 6-2 and although the Canadians made a good effort at a comeback in the second set, the U.S. won it 6-4.

Nestor and Pospisil lost to the Spanish team of Marc Lopez and Rafael Nadal on Thursday. Spain faces Romania on Friday evening in the gold medal match.
