A Saskatoon employer has been fined after workers were seen shingling a roof without any fall protection.

The three workers were spotted by an occupational health officer at a job site on Jan. 14, 2016.

Dave Bernier pleaded guilty for failing to ensure workers were using a fall protection system at a workplace where they could fall three metres or more.

He also pleaded guilty for failing to ensure workers were wearing approved industrial protective head wear.

An additional charge was stayed.

Bernier was fined $2,800 for the Occupational Health and Safety violations.
