Fentanyl, loaded handgun seized in Saskatoon drug bust

Police have seized fentanyl pills, cocaine and two handguns following a drug bust in Saskatoon.

The bust happened on Sept. 30 when police search a vehicle in the 3300-block of 8th Street East.

Officers said they found a duffle bag containing 682 fentaynl pills, 22 grams of cocaine and a loaded 9mm handgun.

A further search of the vehicle turned up 550 grams of meth, around half a kilogram of bundled of crack cocaine, a handgun with a silencer and approximately $5,000 in cash.

A 25-year-old Saskatoon man is facing numerous drug trafficking and weapon charges.

Police said at the time of his arrest, he had over $4,000 on him.
