Ward 4 makes up the southeast corner of Regina, bordered by Ring Road to the west and the city limits to the east and south.
This ward includes the Gardiner Park, University Park, East and Wood Meadows neighbourhoods. It is quickly expanding with new subdivisions in the eastern part of the ward.

In 2012, Ward 4 had the tightest race in the election with 38.7 per cent of the vote going to incumbent Bryon Burnett and Tina Beaudry-Mellor, who became Minister of Social Services and Minister responsible for the Status of Women this year, receiving 38.2 per cent of the vote.
