WINNIPEG — One man is dead and another is recovering from injuries following a Saturday morning shooting.
Winnipeg Police Service confirm that 32-year-old Theodoros Belayneh from Edmonton did not survive his injuries following the early morning shooting on Donald Street and Stradbrook Avenue Saturday.
The second male victim has been upgraded to stable condition.

At around 3:00 a.m. Saturday, Winnipeg police received several calls of shots fired in the Donald Street and Stradbrook Avenue area. The two men found were taken to hospital.

No suspect is in custody and homicide officers are investigating.
Belyaneh was known to Winnipeg police. He was previously arrested in May 2014 along with two other men. They were charged with a series of weapons offences after police said they found two loaded guns during a stop outside Bar Italia on Corydon Avenue.
Police said at the time, that one of the guns was previously stolen in Regina.
