PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – An investigation is underway after an inmate was found dead in his cell at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary.
Officials say 26-year-old Andy Brassard was found unresponsive in his cell on Friday.

Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Brassard had served just under three months of a 42 month sentence for aggravated assault at the time of his death.
Correctional Service of Canada, along with police and the coroner’s office, are investigating.
