Niagara Regional Police have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for the mother of an Ontario girl who was subject of an Ambert Alert over the weekend.
Police said Allana Haist is wanted on charges of abducting her nine-year-old daughter Layla Sabry. They were last seen in the area of 6 King Street in Welland, Ont. 130 kilometres south of Toronto around 6 p.m. on Dec. 1.

Police had said they are operating under a court order to return the child to her father.
Layla is described as white, four-foot two, light brown hair and brown eyes.

Her mother, who police say also goes by the aliases of Kate Dillon or Lana Marie, is white, five-foot one, medium length brown hair with brown eyes.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Haist or her daughter Layla are urged to call 9-1-1, Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477 or your local police.
