A 25-year-old Saskatchewan man suffered serious head injuries in an assault in Taber.
Emergency crews were called to a backyard of a house in the 5000 block of 53 Street Wednesday night. The man was taken to Taber hospital and later transported to the Calgary Foothills Hospital by STARS ambulance.

A 39-year-old Saskatchewan man has been arrested. Police say they are waiting for an update on the medical condition of the victim and charges are pending. Both men are known to each other and police say the act isn’t random.
Police are not releasing names at this time.
