New Brunswick to see 5 more electric vehicles charging stations by the end of the week

NB Power says five new fast-charging stations for electric vehicles will be up and running by the end of the week along the Trans-Canada Highway in New Brunswick.

A station opened on Thursday at the Edmundston Truck Stop and the other new stations are in Perth-Andover, Youngs Cove, Salisbury and Aulac.

The stations, part of NB Power’s province-wide eCharge Network, also offer standard — or level 2 — charging.

The fast charging stations allow drivers of battery electric vehicles to recharge up to 80 per cent in about 30 minutes while level 2 charging takes several hours.
