London police say a 51-year-old man has been charged in the wake of a weekend fire.
Emergency crews were called out to a blaze at a home on Strand St. near Oxford St. East around 5:50 p.m. Sunday.

The man who lived at the home was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital with minor burns.

Damage from the blaze is estimated at $60,000.
Officers say as a result of the fire they executed a search warrant at the home and allegedly seized 250 g of marijuana shake soaking in butane, 1 g of cannabis resin and 24 butane canisters.

As a result of the investigation London police say they’ve charged a 51-year-old London man, who lives at the home and was the same person who was injured, with the following counts:
- One count of occupant injuring building, contrary to Section 441 of the Criminal Code of Canada
- One count of arson by negligence, contrary to Section 436(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
- One count of produce a schedule II substance, contrary to Section 7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
