Vehicle left running stolen in Prince Albert

Prince Albert police have recovered a vehicle after it was stolen after the driver left it running.

The theft happened early Thursday morning in the 400-block of 28 Street West.

Patrol officers searched the area and found the vehicle behind a business on 32 Street West.

The driver took off in the vehicle when officers approached.

They followed it to a hotel parking lot on 2nd Avenue West where the driver was arrested.

A 24-year-old Pelican Narrows man is charged with motor vehicle theft and failing to comply with a probation order.

He is scheduled to appear Thursday in Prince Albert provincial court.
