WINNIPEG – A man who ran for political office in Manitoba while facing prostitution and pornography charges is back in custody.
Winnipeg police have laid new charges of making and possessing child pornography, and living off the avails of prostitution, against Darrell Ackman, who is 43.

Ackman was already facing charges – including living off the avails of prostitution, sexual assault and possessing child pornography – following his initial arrest last summer.
Police say the new charges stem from a search of computers and other goods at his home.

Ackman ran in a provincial byelection in the Fort Whyte constituency last September and finished a distant fifth, with just 19 votes.
Ackman, who goes by the name Mr. Jetz TV, also made headlines with a YouTube channel in which he filmed unsuspecting women on the streets of Winnipeg.
