Attorney General and Minister of Justice Shirley Bond has kept her seat in Prince George-Valemount, despite a strong showing by the NDP.
Shirley Bond had taken 60.3 per cent of the vote compared to 32.6 per cent for NDP candidate Sherry Ogasawara, as of 9:24 p.m. on election night.

Bond won this riding handily in 2009, but was much less confident of victory this time.
Bond was first elected in 2001. She has been minister in a variety of departments, including Solicitor General, Minister of Transportation and Minister of Advanced Education. She is also a former chair of the Prince George School Board.

The NDP’s Ogasawara is the owner of a small nutrition and fitness consulting group. She is a registered dietician with the Northern Health Authority and a health reporter for CKPG television news.
Conservative candidate Nathan Giede came in a distant third with 5.6 per cent of the vote as of 9:24 p.m. election night.
