Emergency responders were called to the jail Tuesday just after 1 p.m.

Police say Prest was found unresponsive in his cell and he was pronounced dead at the jail.

The police force issued a statement ruling out foul play, but the statement did not reveal the cause of death.

Prest was arrested last Wednesday after the body of 33-year-old Tanya Shand was found in an apartment on Dolan Road earlier in the day.
