Video of a Florida teen hitching a ride with a massive whale shark went viral this past weekend. The 19-year-old says he believes the shark was at least thirty-feet long, and that it was as big as his boat. A whale shark is the world’s largest fish and a rare find.
It’s not an endangered species however, so it isn’t illegal to ride one. But experts say a close physical encounter like this could harm the fish and end up putting you in danger.
