Brown was convicted following a vicious assault in 2009 on his then-girlfriend, superstar Rihanna.
Brown is scheduled to play at Energy Rush 2013 on Aug. 31 at Alderney Landing in Dartmouth.
Trevor Romkey, a spokesman for the radio station Energy 103.5 responsible for hosting the event, says the show will go on as planned, including Brown’s performance.
