“I take pride in our accomplishments as a Council, and am privileged to have made many good memories and friends during my tenure.”

The announcement comes less than two months after Sloan officially launched her re-election campaign.

“I am thrilled with the prospect of representing Ward 1 for another term,” Linda said on June 24.

Sloan has worked in politics in Alberta for 13 years; first as MLA for Edmonton Riverview from 1997 to 2001, and then two terms as city councillor representing Ward 1 from 2004 to 2013.
