In the interview Rose said Assad “denied that he had anything to do with the attack… He said there’s not enough evidence yet to make a conclusive judgment.”

The interview comes as President Barack Obama continues rally support for limited military action in Syria over the alleged use of chemical weapons.

Rose’s interview with al-Assad will air beginning Monday on CBS This Morning, which Rose co-hosts. The full-length interview will air on PBS’ The Charlie Rose Show Monday night.
