Things are heating up in Hampstead, and it’s not due to the warm temperatures.
The election campaign for mayor of the Montreal suburban town of 7,000 is turning personal.
Two-term Hampstead city councillor Bonnie Feigenbaum is in the political fight of her life. She is trying to unseat incumbent Bill Steinberg.

The mayor is running for his third mandate.
“I’m doing my campaign, she can do her campaign and at the end of the day I have full confidence in the people,” Steinberg said.

Feigenbaum worked with Steinberg for two terms. But the councillor insists he’s changed.
“He was an open and accepting mayor and we worked as a team in the first mandate but that has slowly eroded,” Feigenbaum said.
Voters go to the polls November 3rd.
