Alberta Liberal Kerry Cundal will officially launch her campaign for the leadership of the Liberal party Thursday night in Calgary.

Alberta Liberals have approved two Calgary lawyers to seek the party leadership in a campaign that is expected to focus on a city that has been more badly hit by the economic downturn than other parts of the province.

Kerry Cundal ran previously under the party banner in a 2015 Calgary by-election, while David Khan is currently the Alberta Liberals executive vice president.
