A Cobourg, Ont., man faces drug-related charges following an incident in Port Hope, Ont., last week.
According to the Port Hope Police Service, around 7:25 a.m. on Oct. 19, officers responded to a report of a man “slumped over” the steering wheel of a parked vehicle in the area of Hamilton Road and Ward Street.
Police say it took several attempts to wake up the driver.

The man was found in possession of drugs including ecstasy (methylenedioxyamphetamine), cocaine, methamphetamine and other opioids.
A 19-year-old man from Cobourg was arrested and charged with drug-impaired driving, six counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance, two counts of possession of a Schedule III substance and possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking.
He was later released with a future court appearance scheduled in Cobourg.
