A fatal crash involving an off-road vehicle in Minden, Ont., on the weekend has led to impaired driving and other charges.
According to Haliburton Highlands OPP, just after 5 p.m. on Oct. 21, emergency crews responded to a report of a crash involving a side-by-side off-road vehicle on Windover Drive in Minden.
OPP say a passenger in the vehicle, a 55-year-old woman from Queensville in East Gwillimbury, Ont., was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the ORV suffered non-life-threatening injuries, OPP said.

The road was closed for several hours as police investigated.
OPP on Tuesday morning said their ongoing investigation has led to the arrest of the driver.
Creig Tranmer, 55, of Queensville, was charged with impaired driving (blood-alcohol concentration 80-plus) and operation of a motor vehicle causing death.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. He was released and is scheduled to appear in court in Minden on Dec. 6.

OPP say anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has video/dash camera footage of the area during that time and has not spoken with police is asked to contact Haliburton Highlands OPP at 705-286-1431 or toll-free at 1-888-310-1122.
