Prince George RCMP looking for dangerous man wanted for assaulting three people

Prince George RCMP are looking for a man they consider to be dangerous, who is wanted for “seriously assaulting”three people last week.

Mounties say on Friday, Dec. 6, they received a report of a fight outside Alibis bar on 1st Avenue and Dominion Street. When they arrived they found that a man had “relentlessly assaulted” two men and one woman before fleeing the scene. All three people were taken to hospital by BC Ambulance with serious injuries.

Police believe the suspect is 36-year-old Jason Dennis Townsend of Prince George.

Prince George RCMP are very familiar with Townsend. He has been charged or a suspect in numerous violent and/or drug related offences in the Prince George area over the past several years. He is affiliated with organized crime groups, is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Provincial Crown Counsel has now approved the following charges against Townsend:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Assault Causing Bodily Harm (two counts)

An arrest warrant has been issued and the Prince George RCMP are requesting help in finding him.

Townsend is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 173 cm (5’8)
  • 89 kg (196 lbs)
  • Blue eyes
  • Short sandy blonde hair
  • Death Before Dishonour tattoo on his left forearm
  • Diagonal scar on his forehead
