SASKATOON – A woman was rescued from a burning house and taken to hospital in Saskatoon on Thursday.
Emergency services were called to a blaze at 922 8th Street East at 9:15 p.m.

Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the rear of the house.
Firefighters searched the building and found one person inside.

The female victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries. MD Ambulance transported her in critical condition.
Damage to the building is estimated at $200,000.
A fire investigator determined that cooking caused the blaze.
