WATCH: Winter weather has made for a tricky commute in the GTA Tuesday
TORONTO – Tuesday’s commute continues to be messy for Toronto as snow fell overnight Monday and into Tuesday.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, and Coburg.
An Alberta Clipper — a very fast-moving low pressure system that originates from Alberta that possesses low moisture — is speeding through the region.
Though low in moisture content, it will still produce some snowfall.

In this case, there’s also a band of snow over Lake Ontario which is expected to move northwest.
Up to 10 cm may fall near the lake Tuesday morning. As the snow band moves inland, snow will taper off to about 2 cm.
So far, there have been no announced school or school bus cancellations across the Greater Toronto Area.
The snowfall could cause low visibility on roads. Motorists are urged to use caution and to drive according to road conditions.
