CALGARY – A self-professed white supremacist found guilty of beating and stomping a man to death is appealing his conviction.
Robert Reitmeier was found guilty of second-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison for his role in the death of Mark Mariani in October 2010.

Reitmeier’s notice of appeal says he wants a new trial by judge alone because the judge in his first trial failed to instruct the jury about inconsistent testimony.
A date for an appeal has not been set.
