In pictures: Remembering musician Luke Rachwalski

MONTREAL – Family, friends and fans are celebrating the life of musician Luke Rachwalski, who tragically died in a fire in Montreal last Friday.

The family of 22-year-old Henry “Luke” Rachwalski have come from Victoria to Montreal to mourn the loss of their son.

He lost his life in a fire in NDG last Friday, along with 18-year-old Sara Amir Assane.

Two others were seriously injured with second-degree burns, including his girlfriend.

The young musician had only just moved to Montreal in the fall of 2013 with his band Canvas, after packing up an old school bus and heading across the country to live their dreams of playing in a band.

A memorial page has been set up on Facebook for friends, family and fans to leave a message.
