SASKATOON – An altercation at a Saskatoon public school has led to a charge against a 13-year-old boy.

It began on Wednesday when police received a report of a physical altercation at Alvin Buckwold School in the 700-block of East Drive.

The following day, police were made aware of threats posted to social media directed to people at the school.

The threats appeared to have been made by one of the boys involved in the altercation.

Police arrested the boy at his residence and charged him with uttering threats.

He is scheduled to appear before a justice of the peace on Friday evening.

Police are working closely with the school and continue to investigate.
