REXTON, N.B. – A 20-year-old Nova Scotia man has been charged with allegedly throwing Molotov cocktails at police during a shale gas protest in New Brunswick last fall that turned violent.
The RCMP say Molotov cocktails were thrown at them during the protest on Oct. 17 near Rexton along Route 134.

Aaron Francis from Eskasoni, N.S., faces charges including intent to do bodily harm by causing an explosive device to explode, placing or throwing at or on a person an explosive substance and committing an offence while being masked.
Francis has been in custody since the day of the protest, when he was arrested for careless use of a firearm.
His next court appearance is scheduled for March 17 in Moncton provincial court.
