HALIFAX – A member of the Nova Scotia legislature has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from a lengthy probe into alleged expense account abuse.

Trevor Zinck, the independent member for Dartmouth North, faces one count each of theft over $5,000, fraud over $5,000 and breach of trust.

Another charge of theft over $5,000 was dropped during today’s proceedings in provincial court in Halifax.
