In the call, Woods told the operator he was not overly concerned and assumed she had run off with a man.

The operator told Woods it didn’t sound like a missing person’s case.

Witnesses have previously testified the couple were having marital problems and Dorothy was having intimate relationships with two other men in the month leading up to her disappearance.

A video tape recording of an interview between Woods and two police officers was also played in court during the testimony of Sgt. David Hudson, the lead investigator in the case.

The two hour video showed him being interviewed by two Saskatoon police officers.

Woods’ lawyer, Michael Nolin, has taken exception to the evidence introduced on Wednesday.

“If Mr. Woods testimony thus far that we’ve listened to on the phone calls is taken at face value, it is consistent with someone who’s spouse left him,” said Nolin.

“I have difficulty with members of the Saskatoon Police Service offering legal advice because it was plain to all who heard it that she was providing him with advice in relation to family law matters.”
