The top candidates for Ontario’s top job took centre stage Tuesday night – and the audience they were looking to impress was you, the voter.
For an hour and a half, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne squared off against PC leader Tim Hudak and NDP leader Andrea Horwath in the only televised leaders debate of the Ontario election.

And the debate ranged all over the political map, from gas plants to cough syrup, from transit debates to debt disagreements, from rubber stamps to “bad math”.
Hudak and Horwath took clear aim at the premier, and Wynne was on the defensive throughout the debate, apologizing repeatedly for the Liberal gas plant scandal that has dogged her since taking office.
