ROUTHIERVILLE, Que. – Quebec provincial police aren’t saying if the deaths of a woman and child found in a car on a highway are related to a weekend prison break.
A woman and a child have been found dead in a car on a highway in northeastern Quebec.
Provincial police are treating the deaths as a double homicide.

The bodies were found Monday evening in the Lower St. Lawrence region.
The young victim is believed to be under the age of 10.
Police said the vehicle was reported stolen earlier in Laval, north of Montreal.
Later in the day, it was involved in a hit-and-run just north of Routhierville, where the two bodies were discovered.
The Sûreté du Québec has confirmed that a suspect in his 30s was arrested in Sainte-Florence at about 1 p.m. and is being questioned by investigators.
