SASKATOON – A high-profile first-degree murder trial is set to resume Monday at Court of Queen’s Bench in Saskatoon.

Three weeks ago, the trial for Douglas Hales was brought to a halt when court ran out of time.

Hales is accused of killing 25-year-old Daleen Bosse, who went missing in May 2004.

Four weeks had been slated for the trial but the defence said it would require a block of three days based on the “nature of the evidence” it was about to present in order to proceed.

During the trial, court heard Hales confess to the murder via video and audio recordings during the trial, as part of an RCMP “Mr. Big” sting operation.
