VANCOUVER – A property owner in Penticton has begun clamping down on access to his land, causing serious concerns for people who use a local nude beach.

Three Mile Beach has been clothing optional since the 1940s. In recent days, a man who owns a nearby property has put up “No Trespassing” signs and hired security to patrol the area, which is affecting where the nudists usually set up.

The conflict reportedly started after a potential buyer for the land was harassed by so-called trespassers.

Nude beach-goers are hoping to keep the peace by shifting to a slightly different area.
