A member of the Regina Police Service is facing a charge of Common Assault following an incident in February while he was on duty.
Colin B. Belcourt, 28, was charged after the service received a complaint from a man who said excessive force was used while in police custody.

The complaint was taken to the Provincial Complaints Commission and underwent an independent investigation.
Belcourt has been with the service for four years.
He will make his first court appearance on September 27.
