REGINA – Saskatchewan Roughrider fullback Scott McHenry suffered a neck injury in the Riders 20-16 win over the B.C. Lions Sunday.
With six minutes to go in the fourth quarter, the Saskatoon product went head-on with Tim Brown while making a tackle on special teams.
McHenry, 27, was moving his limbs on the field and eventually left under his own power.
The former University of Saskatchewan Huskie was taken to hospital after the game where he was diagnosed with a stable, undisplaced fracture involving the sixth cervical vertebrae.

McHenry has no neurological symptoms and travelled back to Regina with the team on Monday.
He is expected to make a complete recovery and tweeted out that he will be back “stronger then ever.”
