Laura Coward, 47, of Millet has since been taken into custody, and charged with break and enter as well as abduction. Coward has been identified as Lucius’ biological mother.

She is scheduled to appear in court on September 8.

Those who live in the area are shocked at the developments, and say they’d noticed the car Lucius was found in about a week earlier.

“Coming across a dead body I think would be about the worst thing that I would ever imagine. And I didn’t even think of that, I just thought the person was sleeping,” says Diane Shapka. “It wasn’t until this morning I heard someone’s body…oh my gosh.”
