NORTH BATTLEFORD, Sask. – An Alberta man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for a parole violation was arrested after a stabbing in North Battleford, Sask. over the weekend.
Mounties became aware of the stabbing after a 21-year-man showed up around 8 a.m. at a hospital for treatment of stab wounds.

He was treated for lacerations to his head and neck and has been released from hospital
Police were able to trace the stabbing to a house party a short time earlier.

The 23-year-old suspect was located later in the day in Cut Knife and taken into custody.
He is scheduled to appear in North Battleford provincial court on Monday.
