Weston Dressler named CFL Player of the Week

REGINA – Saskatchewan Roughriders Weston Dressler was named a CFL Player of the Week after his performance against the Ottawa Redblacks.

The 29 year-old was named Special Teams Player of the week after the North Dakota native had five punt returns for 103 yards including a 78 yard return for a touchdown in the Riders 35-32 overtime win over Ottawa.

Dressler also had a game high 125 yards receiving with seven catches, including a 60 yard touchdown.

This is the third times in Dressler’s CFL career where he picked up Player of the Week honours.

Hamilton’s Zach Collaros was named the offensive player of the week and Ticats Eric Norwood was named defensive player of the week. Shea Emery of the Argo was named the CFL’s top Canadian.
