HALIFAX – The case of a man accused in a fatal beating outside a Halifax bar has been adjourned for two weeks.
Andre Noel Denny, who is charged with second-degree murder, was briefly in the Nova Scotia Supreme Court where his case was set over until Oct. 9 to give him more time to find a new lawyer.

Denny was expected to stand trial earlier this month, but that was delayed when he fired his lawyer.
The 35-year-old Denny of Membertou, N.S., is accused in the April 2012 death of 49-year-old Raymond Taavel.
The gay rights activist died outside Menz bar on Gottingen Street following an altercation.
